L.E.M.A

This one is my magnum opus. L.E.M.A stands for Linear Electromagnetic Mass Accelerator. It does exactly what it sounds like it does. It accelerates a ferromagnetic slug with a mass due to a series of linear electromagnetic coils. It's basically just a coil gun, but you know what, Linear Electromagnetic Mass Accelerator sounds a hell of a lot cooler. This has actually been a project I have been considering undertaking, but have only really started thinking about it until now. I'm still in the process of doing much needed research, as I need to try to optimize the design as much as possible in order to (1) achieve as high as an energy efficiency as possible, and (2) to make it shoot as hard as possible. I have yet to create any real designs, so far all that I have are concept sketches. I will update this page frequently as I progress.
